Finally better

After having a sinus infection and being sick for the last few months I am finally better. I can breathe again.

Now I need to get back to the grind.

I would just like to say that it pains me that thru all my sickness and even before I have tried to be there for quite a few of you; and when I have been down no one has been there for me. Some people here are so full of themselves that they can’t take 2 minutes away to help someone else out; it so sad. Thanks for making me feel this way; I am so hurt.

In need of motivation

Same old routine; time for me to pump up my workouts and get my butt into a faster gear. Anyone do the Power 90 Cds? Just wondering how good they are. Also, was wondering about the Shawn T’s Hip Hop Ab Collection.

From the day we become familiar with our surroundings, the world and the people around us, we start dreaming and set our destinations, our goals which we would want to achieve in our lifetime.

As Douglas Everett has rightly said:

“There are some people, who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality and then there are those who turn one into the other.”

We are all capable of doing anything and achieving any goal we set but the difference comes in the will, the belief, and the faith in one’s own self. Your belief is attained when you are confident of yourself and self-confidence loosens when you hate one or more aspects of your own self-existence be it your body, appearance etc.

However, hating your own self is not the solution. It is that you are simply ignoring the facts of your life. As we, here at shape-fit are dealing largely with weight reduction and obesity related problems lets take examples of this very field. Negative thought patterns are all too common among dieters and are one of the reasons why so many dieters are unable to lose weight permanently.

The teasing comments and social ignorance discourages dieters to open up with their feelings, they end up with decreased will power, and the result is distraction from their goals.

However, the truth is that obesity is just a physical disease or disorder, which is 100% reversible. The day when you realize the importance of healthy body and fitness and decide to work on it with the appropriate focus and determination you will achieve your dream figure shortly and once you do so you’ll be happy and proud of the fact that you yourself did it and finally when the same old society which use to ignore you will praise you for your achievement and you’ll be the star. Whatever be the reason you should consider yourself as a star always…

Weight loss is 90% mental and all it needs is commitment, planning, & goal setting.
Once you start believing in your self and loving your body you will be over with all hurdles and you goal will appear as near and as easy to achieve as it was never ever before.
Remember these things and boost your confidence:-

* One thing that you cannot recycle is wasted time.
* Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new end.
* Do not try to lose weight/achieve your goals too fast.
* Make a lifelong commitment to yourself to change your lifestyle habits for the better.
* Always think positive and stay focused.
* Respect your body and treat it well.
* It is not failure itself that holds you back but the fear of failure that paralyzes you, so knock off your fears and buck up with your strong will and go get your desired goals.

All of us are the proud owners of the wonder machines i.e. our bodies. In addition, we are lucky to live in an era when great progress is being made and we are now able to understand and know our bodies in a better way.

So love and enjoy your priced possession and take care of it always. In the end, hoping that this will boost you up and start a new beginning in your lives and for the betterment of course. Here is a short poem written by me for all of you:

Still sick

well, its been around 3 weeks now. I know it all started with the flu; thats gone. The doctor is gonna put me thru a series of tests tomorrow to see what it is. I hope he figures it out and soon. I am so ready to get back to my workouts. Some days when I feel ok I will go for a little walk; I don’t wanna overdo myself.

Getting better

I have had the flu for a little over a week now; its just about all gone; I still have minor coughing here and there; but overall almost all better! Once the coughing is gone I will get back to it 150% !

Never again in your lifetime will the Red Planet be so spectacular! This month and next month the Earth is catching up with Mars, an encounter that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter’s gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the last 5,000 years but it may be as long as 60,000 years.

The encounter will culminate on August 27th when Mars comes to within 34,649,589 miles and will be (next to the moon) the brightest object in the night sky. It will attain a magnitude of -2.9 and will appear 25.11 arc seconds wide. At a modest 75-power magnification Mars will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. Mars will be easy to spot.

At the beginning of August, Mars will rise in the east at 10 p.m. and reach its azimuth at about 3 a.m. By the end of August when the two planets are closest, Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point in the sky at 12:30 a.m. That’s pretty convenient when it comes to seeing something that no human has seen in recorded history. So mark your calendar at the beginning of August to see Mars grows progressively brighter and brighter throughout the month. Share with your children and grandchildren. No one alive today will ever see this again.

Challenge Teams Looking for New Members COME JOIN THE FUN!!!!!!!

Weight loss challenge teams looking for a few more members. We have four teams competing against each other teams: the Wild Cats, the Hot Rods, the Grizzlies and the Worker Bees. We weigh in every week (cutoff time depends on individual team leaders). We then declare a winning team (whichever loses the most weight) and start all over again!

We have an awesome group of people who are always ready to offer support, encouragement and motivation. We have a lot of fun but are also very serious about our goals and have a separate forum just for serious talk. Each team also offers optional exercise challenges. You do not have to do them but we have a lot of fun with them.

You can find us by looking at the Buddy Slim menu bar and clicking Forum and then click Weight Loss Challenges. Again the teams are: Wild Cats, Hot Rods, Fierce Grizzlies and Worker Bees.

We’re looking for people who are serious about weight loss. You need to be willing to workout at least 5 days per week (trying for 6) and eating healthy on a regular basis. If you’re interested, email me your current weight and we’ll introduce you to your team.
